home - body

the boxes unloaded, the shelves refilled, the washing machine already on it's third load. peace and quiet the honest way. the building is sturdy and feels full of history. the wide staircase must surely must be haunted. the middle-aged neighbours promise quiet nights and afternoon tea. they responded well to the surrey accent of my youth. home has at last extended beyond the lonely and unreliable confines of my body.

freezing rain keeps me inside. but it feels good to be here.
