with thanks at christmas

tuesday 24th december 2002 @ 21:01

rain falls this christmas eve. a slow fine drizzle soaking the world quietly. festive wishes pass from hand to hand and mouth to mouth. all welcomed. this year past the company has been good. and no matter how carefully chosen the gifts, they cannot represent my thanks.

so merry christmas to you all.

tomorrow the few who cannot go to their families, and remain restricted by hospital policy, jailed within stark white walls, will be my company. i will smile for them, but it will be hard to wish them well, when their future looks so bleak.

reading: won't say, you'll laugh

hearing: classic fm

wanting: is it time to open that present yet, i'm so curious

fearing: well, actually nothing right now, except spiders and i don't think they count
